Kendra Roemer - Chair

Kendra is a devoted mother of two exceptional children who attend Mills Haven Elementary School. Her daughter Sofia is currently in grade one, while her son Luca is in kindergarten. As a family, they are always on the go, participating in various activities such as basketball, dance, soccer, golf, and spending time at the park.

Aside from being a dedicated mother, Kendra also holds a full-time position as an Operations Coordinator at We Know Training, located in the heart of downtown Edmonton. 

In addition to her professional career, Kendra is actively involved in her children’s school community. During the 2021-2022 school year, she served as the Secretary of the Mills Haven School Council, working tirelessly to bring the school community together. Her efforts were rewarded with a sense of fulfillment and a renewed commitment to the school’s success.

This upcoming school year, Kendra is excited to take on the role of School Council Chair, leading the team to new heights of achievement. Her passion for education, coupled with her leadership skills, promises a bright future for the Mills Haven community.

Courtney Provencal - Vice Chair

Courtney is a proud mother of three children, two of whom attend Mills Haven Elementary School in grades 1 and 3, while her eldest child is in grade 12 at Salisbury. She has a deep appreciation for our school and the strong sense of community it has cultivated among the students, parents, teachers, and staff.

With her previous experience serving on school councils with her eldest child, Courtney is eager to bring her passion and expertise to Mills Haven. She is excited to start her first year with the school council and looks forward to building meaningful relationships with everyone in the Mills Haven community.

As a dedicated mother, Courtney understands the importance of education and the positive impact it has on children’s lives. Her commitment to her children’s success and growth is evident in everything she does, including her involvement with the school council.

With her enthusiasm, dedication, and community-minded spirit, Courtney is an invaluable asset to the Mills Haven School Council. Her contributions are sure to make a difference in shaping the school’s future and ensuring that it continues to thrive as a vibrant and inclusive learning community.

Steven Kotschorek - Secretary

Meet Steven, a proud parent of Ophelia, who is currently in grade 2 at Mills Haven. Steven and Ophelia reside in Sherwood Park and have called it home since relocating to Alberta in 2005.

With 16 years of experience in various roles and departments within the federal government, Steven currently works as a medical devices inspector for Health Canada. His professional expertise and attention to detail are assets that he brings to the Mills Haven School Council.

As a devoted parent, Steven values his time with Ophelia and enjoys taking her to various activities or exploring the great outdoors through hikes and sightseeing. He understands the importance of providing a well-rounded education that includes both academic and extracurricular activities.

Steven’s passion for education and community involvement make him an excellent addition to the Mills Haven School Council. He is committed to working collaboratively with the council and the school community to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Krista Baum - Communications Rep

Krista is a devoted stay-at-home mom and a proud parent of three children. Her eldest, Berkley, is in grade 1 at Mills Haven, while her twin boys, Bodie and Kai, are also a part of the school community. As a family of five, they are passionate about creating a positive and memorable school experience for not only their children but everyone attending Mills Haven.

In addition to being a dedicated mom, Krista also manages a successful family business located in Sherwood Park. Her previous professional experience includes working in purchasing and accounts payable. Additionally, she volunteered as a coach for a special Olympics team, which helped her develop strong leadership and teamwork skills.

With her diverse background and experience, Krista is eager to bring her passion for education and community involvement to the Mills Haven School Council. She is committed to collaborating with parents, teachers, and students to create a welcoming and inclusive environment that fosters academic and personal growth.
